Nestled amongst the bustle of Chinatown in William St Northbridge, 399 Bar is one of Perth’s original small bars & is still consistently rated in the “Top 10” bars to this day…..

John Milton said that “one sip of alcohol will bathe the drooping spirits in delight beyond the bliss of dreams” whilst other writers such as Hemmingway, Fitzgerald, Bukowsky & Wilde have long waxed lyrical about the “bar” being a “divine holy place.”

Like the simplicity of the name itself “399 Bar” has less grandiose literary ambitions but our commitment to offering the perfect bar experience is absolute. The space mirrors a “lounge room”, casual but charismatic & is decorated with iconic brick a bak & contemporary art pieces. The couches are inviting, the lighting soft & the music an eclectic mix of familiar tunes that don’t threaten to drown out conversation.

399 is synonymous with quality beverages, marrying a boutique wine & beer/cider list with the heavenly handcrafted cocktails for which the venue is renowned. A place to relax, chat & unwind the 399 staff are courteous & attentive. (Pouting bar posers are so passé) You ask for it & they’ll make any drink that suits your mood. An ever changing range of tapas are available at all times as well as “Dough” pizzas which are delivered to your booth at the bar…….

This funky small bar is built for comfort & invites you to “stay awhile”, 399 isn’t a place designed by an interior designer with a faux “big city” brief, more so a passion play of understated tone & mood catering to people who share a love for fine things without pretence. This “lounge room” judges its guests on attitude not attire so while a smile is compulsory we’ll leave the fashion to you. We just want to be your favourite room in the house…
